WarCollar Industries is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security / Cyber Development Engineer to support mission-critical cybersecurity operations in a dynamic Cloud Security Operations Center (CSOC) environment. This is an opportunity to apply deep expertise in cloud security, cyber development, automation, and SIEM technologies to strengthen enterprise-scale defensive cyber operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with extensive experience across AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud, strong Python development and scripting capabilities, and a proven ability to develop and optimize security monitoring and automated incident response capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, architect, and implement enterprise-scale cloud security monitoring solutions.

  • Develop Python-based scripts, tools, and automation to improve cybersecurity operations and response.

  • Build and implement automated incident response playbooks to streamline CSOC processes.

  • Develop, tune, and optimize Splunk detections for AWS and other cloud environments using Splunk Query Language.

  • Collaborate with CSOC analysts and engineers to coordinate incident response and improve defensive capabilities.

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

  • Plan and execute cyber exercises and drills to strengthen operational readiness.

  • Develop technical reference materials, training resources, and best practices for cloud security and incident response.

  • Identify opportunities to improve cybersecurity processes, tooling, and automation.

  • Stay current with emerging threats, cloud security technologies, cybersecurity trends, and relevant AI concepts supporting cloud and incident response.

What You Bring

7+ years of experience in cloud security, cloud engineering, or cyber operations.

7+ years of experience with operating systems, network infrastructure, security principles, or system architecture.

5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.

3+ years of coding and scripting experience with Python.

Strong experience with SIEM technologies, particularly Splunk.

Experience developing security detections, automation, and incident response capabilities.

Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, cyber operations, and defensive security principles.

Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across technical teams, and mentor junior personnel.
